  • text课文
    英语的“课文”叫text，“纺织品”叫textile，“作品的结构” 、“皮肤的肌理”、“岩石的纹理”叫texture，这三个词都来自拉丁语动词texo，意思是“编织”，这一点与汉语很相近，我们讲“编筐”、“织布”、“织毛衣”也说“编故事”、“编辑”、“编造”、“罗织罪名”、“罗织成章”等。Texo派生出名词texrus，意思是“文风”、“文学作品的结构”或“编织词句的方式”，那么，英语的另一个词pretext（借口）就好理解了，pre来自拉丁语pre，意思为“在……前面”，pretext即是说“借口”这个东西象一幅织就的幕布一样掩饰在某些东西前面，将其真相遮盖。
