knickerbockers女式灯笼裤
来自19世纪美国历史学家Washington Irving的笔名Diedrich Knickerbocker,他于1809年写一本通俗历史书《History of New York》,主要就是早期的荷兰人在纽约的历史。其笔名借自其荷兰朋友的姓氏Knickerbocker,其字面意思可能是烤面包的人，来自knicker,面包，饼干，拟声词，比较cracker,bocker-,烤，词源同bake.他的书里面描述了当时荷兰人常穿的一种马裤，人们就把这种裤子叫做knickerbockers,但最终变成了女式专用裤，即女式灯笼裤。
